How does Convenient Kitchen work?

Convenient Kitchen is a Melbourne based company that delivers all the fresh ingredients in exactly the right proportions for you to make delicious meals.

We are your kitchen companion, we plan, create, shop, portion and deliver the highest quality local produce. All you have to do is cook and enjoy! We have no membership fee, and no minimum commitment. You can skip any week or cancel at any time.

With our Meal Plan, you will receive one delivery a week on a Monday. We customize your menu based on your dietary preferences (which you can change or update at any time).

We’ve designed our service to teach you how to cook new recipes, expose you to seasonal, farm-fresh produce and reduce unnecessary food waste. By letting us shop for you, we can bring you fresher and higher-quality food than you can get on your own in the supermarket, all at a better price.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to most Melbourne suburbs that are within in a radius of 20-30km of the City - see list of postcodes. If we don't deliver to your area yet, we are working hard to get there as soon as we can and we will make sure you are the first to know once we are in your area!

How do I contact Customer Service?

Can I buy a gift card for a Convenient Kitchen meal delivery?

Gifts cards ranging from $50 to $1,000 are available to buy on our gift card page

Meal Plans and Subscription

Does my subscription auto-renew?

Yes, we will send you weekly deliveries, but there is no minimum commitment. You can skip a delivery or cancel your subscription at any time before the weekly cut-off time on Wednesday 11:59pm the week prior to your delivery date.

What is your minimum plan?

Our minimum delivery is three meals per week that serve two people each, but we're always working on expanding our options — so stay tuned!

Can I choose my recipes?

At sign-up there is an option to select certain dietary preference. Once these preferences have been selected you can only change these preferences by emailing or calling Convenient Kitchen.

What is the cutoff date to skip a week, pause, or cancel my deliveries?

Because we plan our meals in advance, we require notice by Wednesday 11:59pm prior to the following week's delivery. You can do this by login into your account in the My Account section under My Meal Plan Subscriptions at this link

Is There a Minimum Subscription Length?

There is no minimum subscription length, and you can cancel at any time before your weekly cutoff on a Wednesday 11:59pm prior to the following week's delivery.

When will you charge my card?

Your card is charged a few days before each order’s delivery date. You’re never charged when you skip a week.

How did you select your Market products?

Our culinary team has hand-selected their favorite kitchen essentials to make preparing Convenient Kitchen meals faster and more fun.

How do I place an order in the Market?

Browse our Market Place and add what you would like to buy to your basket.

When you are ready to check out, click “Check Out” – if you are signed in, you will be able to check out using your existing Convenient Kitchen address and credit card. If you are not already a customer you can sign up.

What are your shipping rates for the Market?

If you are a Meal Plan customers we will deliver your Market Place items with your Meal Box with no delivery charges added. For all customers that only order Market Place items there will be a delivery charge added to your order visible at check out.

How do I return my Market order?

We want you to love our kitchen tools as much as we do.

If you’re unsatisfied with a product, we gladly accept returns on all items excluding food. We will provide a full refund for the price of the item if it is shipped back within 14 days of receipt in its original packaging and condition.

To make a return, please email customer@convenientkitchen.com.au and we will provide you with the return address as well as any shipping instructions that may apply. Return credits and refunds should appear within 10 days of arriving at our warehouse.

Can I cancel or change my Market order?

You can cancel your order and receive a refund any time before we process the order at our warehouse. Please email customer@convenientkitchen.com.au for more information.

Shipping & Delivery

When will my delivery arrive?

Meal Plan deliveries take place every Monday between 2pm and 8pm.

When you sign up and enter your post code, you’ll see the day when your first delivery will start.    You don't need to be at home when we deliver, as your food is sent in a refrigerated box to keep it fresh.

You can view your current delivery day by logging into “My Account” and then clicking on “My Meal Plan Subscriptions 

How do I update my address?

You can always update your account information by logging in via the “Sign In” link and then clicking “Address Book

You can edit and change any information and “Save Changes.”

Just make sure to remember to update in advance of your weekly cutoff to have the new information applied to that week’s delivery.

What if I’m not home during delivery?

If you aren’t home, our delivery person will generally leave the package for you at your door. 

Since our food is packaged in an insulated Esky and ice packs, it will remain cold and fresh for you until you get home later that evening. 

You may also provide additional delivery instructions during the order and payment process, such as asking the package to be left with a doorman or neighbour.

Will my food stay fresh in transit?

Yes, each box is carefully packaged to stay fresh for several hours after your delivery arrives, and we modify our packaging based on the season and your location.

However, we recommend you put the contents in your refrigerator as soon as possible for the best results and to maintain the freshness of your ingredients throughout the week.

Do you deliver all around Melbourne?

We deliver to most Melbourne suburbs that are within in a radius of 20-30km of the CBD - see list of postcodes. We are always adding new locations.

Managing my Account

How do I log in to my account?

From the homepage, click the "Log In" link located at the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

How do I update incorrect account information?

You can always update incorrect account information by logging in and then clicking “Account Information.”

You can then select “Edit” to change any information and then “Save Changes.”

Just make sure to remember to update in advance of the weekly delivery cutoff to have the new information applied to that week’s delivery.

How do I skip a week or more of delivery?

If you are going on vacation or don't want a delivery, you can pause your delivery before your weekly delivery cutoff on a Wednesday at 11:59pm.

To do this, login to your account and click on “My Meal Plan Subscriptions” and use the calendar icon to set your next delivery date.

What is the cutoff to skip a week or cancel?

Because we plan our meals in advance, we require notice by Wednesday 11:59pm the week prior to your delivery date.

 

How do I cancel my account?

To cancel your account, please visit My Account page.

We're sad to see you go, but you can reactivate your account at any time by logging in with your email and password. 

Please note, because we secure all deliveries in advance, you may still have a delivery scheduled. Please log in and check the “My Meal Plan Subscriptions” section to verify.

Recipes & Ingredients

What comes in each delivery?

Your Convenient Kitchen delivery comes with all the fresh ingredients, in exactly the right proportions, to cook your recipes for the week. Each delivery comes with beautifully printed recipe cards and step-by-step instructions. Each meal is designed to be well-balanced, healthy, and quick to prepare.

The only things we assume you have are some essential pantry items such as: salt and pepper, oils (olive, rice bran, extra virgin), soy sauce, vinegars (balsamic, cider), stock and fish sauce.

Can we find out what our meal box will contain next week?

On our On the Menu page of our website you will be able to see next week’s menu. You can email us to receive our recipe cards.

Will I be able to lose weight when eating the Convenient Kitchen menu?

As we deliver extremely healthy and well balanced food planned in detailed by our culinary team, using no preservatives and only lean meats etc, you may find you are losing weight and also learning how to cook healthier.

Can I choose the dishes for my weeks delivery?

Every week we have a beef, chicken, fish, vegetarian and small good meal on our menu. These recipes are carefully prepared to provide a well-balanced and healthy selection of meals over the week. If you only select the 3 or 4 day plans you do have the option to choose your preferred option out of the 5 recipes. Naturally our 5 day plan customers will have the benefit of enjoying the full 5 days of healthy eating!

Are your ingredients organic?

While not all our ingredients are certified as organic, we work with many small family farms and artisanal purveyors—please feel free to visit our ‘Suppliers’ page to find out more about our partners.

Where do you source your ingredients?

We source the best quality products available, and purchase as many ingredients as we can from local, family-run suppliers with sustainable practices.

Our meats are naturally raised, and we work with top fishermen to bring you the freshest seafood each week.

How long does the food stay fresh?

Our meals are designed to stay fresh for the week in which you order them.

However, we always recommend cooking seafood and chicken first to make sure it remains at its peak freshness.

Do you provide nutritional and calorie information?

We do provide calorie and nutritional information for each of our recipes

Please note that the exact nutrient amounts will also depend on varying sizes of produce and the amount of olive oil and salt you use when cooking.

I’m allergic to specific food (e.g. nuts), can I still order Convenient Kitchen?

We take great care to ensure that all of our food is prepared safely, however, all of our boxes are assembled in the same processing facility.

As a result, we do not recommend that you order Convenient Kitchen if you have a serious food allergies.

Alternatively, you may need to substitute some of the pantry and dairy items we suggest in our recipes with the ones in your pantry.For example, you may need to use gluten free pasta or lactose free milk.

Do you have a gluten-free or Paleo plan?

Many of our recipes naturally don't contain gluten, however all food is processed in a facility that may contain traces of gluten and we do not have a specifically gluten-free or Paleo diet plan.

How do you come up with your recipes?

We have a seasoned culinary team who works daily in our test kitchen to create delicious recipes to send you each week.

How often do you repeat recipes?

We do not repeat any recipes for at least six months, and only repeat customer favorites after we have incorporated your feedback and suggestions!

My Reward Points

How do I earn reward points?

You get 10 points for every meal plan box you order, every week.

What can I use my points for?
    After 10 boxes…100 points…you’ll earn your first culinary hat
  • receive an ongoing 10% discount on any items on the Market Place (excluding dinner party box) for 1 year
  • After 20 boxes...200 points…you’ll earn your second culinary hat
  • receive an ongoing 20% discount on any items on the Market Place (excluding dinner party box) for 1 year
  • After 30 boxes...300 points…you’ll earn your third culinary hat
  • receive an ongoing 30% discount on any items on the Market Place (excluding dinner party box) for 1 year
How do I redeem points?

Once you have earned enough points you can choose to join the corresponding group. You can do this in the “My Account” section, under “My Rewards” and then click on “Loyalty Level”. Once you have joined a level, you can stay on this level for 365 days or until you have earned enough points to join the next level.

How do I refer a friend?

You can earn 50 points for referring friends and your friend can get a discounts when they first sign up for a Meal Plan. You can refer a friend in the “My Account” section, under “My Rewards” and then “Refer Friends” page. You can do this by sharing the links or coupons via many channels such as email, Facebook, Twitter, G+ etc.

Where can I see my point balance?

You can view your point balance in the “My Account” sections, under the “My Rewards” page. You can also sign-up to receive emails with a point balance update or an advance notification of when your points balance will expire. You can do this in the “My Account” sections, under the “My Rewards” page, and then “Settings”.
